We have organized a journey to Kharkiv zoo jointly with TEAM International for children from the Family and Youth Center of Frunze District.
We have been interested when listening the guide, who told us where animals live (because our climate is not native for them, which means they require special conditions), what they eat (they all need different meals and their needs must be considered), and how they got into the zoo (for instance, falcons and most of turtles have been saved from contrabandists, who tried to sell them to hunting areas and zoo shops).
Children have gained most of positive emotions from feeding hooves with vegetables. I think both children and animals were simply happy.
I must also say that it was such a pleasure to find that children treated all the animals tremblingly and put the garbage into special containers. I hope they will save their kindness and protect all living beings.
I also hope that we managed to give some kindness to children who do lack it and support to animals who suffer fewer financing in this hard times.
